Brands Brands Brands!!!

Do you care what you wear? Is it important to represent certain brands or logos on the clothes you wear? What makes you loyal to the brands you wear, and how important is it that your friends like the same brands?

  1. To me it really doesn't matter. Clothes are clothes, I wear what I want and I want to wear something that covers my body and keeps me warm. I'm not really a popular person and the colthes I wear and the way I wear them don't reflect on my personality.

  3. BRANDS, what a joke, its just another way people can discriminate against people who don't have enough money or have the moral sense not to mindlessly spend thousands of dollars on a name.

  8. I myself do not care if the clothing I wear is brand named or not. To me finding good clothes that last a long time and are cheap is the smarter way to go. People don’t realize that they are just paying for the logo on the piece of clothing. They need to realize you can get the same thing for way cheaper and it still looks just as good. What’s the point in wasting a large chunk of your money on one item of clothing when you can get a couple pieces for the same price? When it comes to me looking for something for myself I usually just look for things that catch my eye. I find something I like and then check the price, if it seems reasonable I’ll get it but, if I know I can find something similar at another store for cheaper I’ll go there instead. Brand name items to me are so pointless and overpriced. There’s no need for them and, it’s pretty sad that some people ONLY purchase brand name clothing for attention from others.

  9. Brands are something that at the end of the day really shouldn’t matter. You should like what you wear and it shouldn’t matter who made it. I will agree with another statement made earlier that brands give people the reason to make other people and feel bad about nothing. Also some of these huge name brands are made in sweat shops around the world and or are made cheaply for maximum profit. For some people who are taller these also shrink or change shape which makes them rather uncomfortable. At this point you may as well have bought a generic brand of clothe that didn’t cost 25$ a t-shirt or 70$ sweatshirt. This being said you should be really careful if you are going to buy these brands…

  10. Brands
Brands don’t really matter to me because anything that’s comfortable will make me happy. I’m very self conscious and anything that covers me makes me happy. I feel that brands do group certain people together to some extent. I have never actually seen a conversation that went like this…
    “Hey, how’s it going?”
“Ewe man, you’re totally not wearing the right brands to hang out with me…”
So I personally feel that brands can divide people but don’t always do. I do however agree that if someone is seen wearing a brand name then people feel more comfortable buying that brand when they go out shopping. I think for the most part especially in high school most people want to fit in. But although I’d like to say brand don’t affect me I won’t lie… when I bought a present for my boyfriend it was a shirt, belt buckle and a wallet all Volcom brand. Also when I bought my mom her birthday present it was an expensive DC sweater.
When I see people in the school wearing certain brands I can’t help but want to wear them too. I’ll only buy sale items from those stores though because I have my priorities set straight and I have a certain amount of money I set myself to spend because clothes, fortunately is not my main priority, though it still is one. I feel Springfield is full of snobby rich kids and it is annoying. That is why I am not so thrilled about wearing brands like they do because I don’t like who those people are and no matter what we will be judged and if I can help it I will not be placed in their category.

  11. i think that the things that you wear express YOU! I don't think you need to wear the same brand names all the time because you might be in a different mood at different times!!!
